Festive Cranberry Walnut Gouda Cheese Ball

Festive Cranberry Walnut Gouda Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  • 250g softened plain cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded old / sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded gouda cheese or parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts (divided)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dried cranberries (divided)
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp minced chives
  • 2 tbsp Smak Dab Cranberry Wine Mustard

Directions

  1. To a bowl add softened cream cheese, shredded white cheddar cheese, shredded gouda cheese, ¼ cup finely chopped walnuts, ¼ cup finely chopped dried cranberries, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, minced chives and red wine cranberry mustard. Mix well to combine.
  2. Put the mixture into the fridge for 10 minutes - this will help make it easier to shape into a cheese ball.
  3. To a plate add the remaining finely chopped walnuts and finely chopped dried cranberries. Remove the cheese ball from the fridge and use your hands to form the mixture into a ball. Roll the cheeseball in the walnuts and dried cranberries. Place the cheeseball into the fridge again for at least 15 minutes or until ready to serve (up to one day).
  4. Take out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before serving and enjoy with your favourite crackers or crostini!
