Citrus Marinated BBQ Chicken


  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Smak Dab Curry Dijon or Honey Horseradish Mustard
  • Juice of 1 lime*
  • Juice of 1 lemon*
  • Juice of 2 oranges*
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or Herbs de Provence
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme, finely chopped (or additional 1/4 teaspoon dried herbs)
  • 1 tsp fresh oregano, finely chopped (or additional 1/4 teaspoon dried herbs)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes


  1. Combine all the ingredients together in a jar and shake well to combine.
  2. Marinade chicken breasts or thighs with the marinade 4 hours or overnight for best flavour.

*Chef's Tip: Save the fruit after juicing and slice into pieces. Toss into the container when marinating for extra flavour.
