Mustard Candied Nuts


  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 3 teaspoons Smak Dab Beer Chipotle or Canadian Maple Mustard
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary or thyme, finely chopped
  • Sprinkle of good quality, flaky sea salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350F, and line a baking sheet with a silpat or parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together sugar, water, mustard, and herbs. Add nuts and toss to coat evenly. Spread onto the baking sheet, sprinkle generously with sea salt, and bake for about 10-15 minutes, keeping a VERY close eye. You can mix the nuts around lightly halfway through. You will know when it is done, with the sugar is crusty and caramelized!

Note: Make these nuts ahead, and they will keep for weeks in a sealed container! Play around with different nuts, herbs, spices, and mustard for your own unique flavor!
